Buy Swedish Identity Card

You must be over 13 years old, be registered as a resident of Sweden, and be able to establish your identification in order to apply for an ID card. You need permission from your legal guardian(s) if you are under eighteen (18). There is a 400 SEK application fee. You cannot apply for an ID card until the fee has been paid.

Even if you or your attestor have a protected identity, you are still eligible to apply for the card. If so, speak with your case officer prior to submitting an application.

When traveling abroad, you cannot travel with the Tax Agency ID card in place of a passport. Only Sweden is where the Tax Agency ID card is accepted. Speak with the Swedish Police
